Students attend four weeks of one 2-hour class per week and then a following ten weeks of two 2-hour classes per week until the examination in January. The two teachers share the different skills required for the exams – one concentrates on reading comprehension, written expression and oral expression, while the other works on listening comprehension, written expression and oral expression. Both teachers devote time to the necessary method and technique required to do well in the chosen exam. Part of the class is also dedicated to working on students’ common mistakes and problems. Mock exams, particularly orals, are also organised. Independent work concentrates on the study of past papers, aural comprehension and the study of longer texts. | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
