Program and contents:

The problem of risks has taken on considerable importance in our societies. In the economic world, it takes the form of implementing evaluation and prevention measures, every day, in order to limit the consequences on man, the environment, businesses and economic activity.

In parallel, taking risks is an intrinsic part of the work of the manager, the artist and of everyone in certain acts of the everyday life.
This term thus refers at the same time at the idea of a potential loss or of an opportunity.

The objective of the course is thus to understand the problems of natural and industrial risks through engineering, economic and sociological tools and methods. It most notably deals with understanding the societal issues and learning the skills needed for taking a decision in a universe full of risk and uncertainty.
