Objectives
This course studies the ambiguous complex relationship that between artistic work has fostered, throughout time and in every country, with political power…and political power at different periods and in various countries


Content - Program

This problem raises study covers numerous questions that, in particular, underline including the conditions under which artistic creations evolvecreation is made possible.

Another aspect of our studies lies in the course will be the image of political power in art. We will start with the recognition that see  that even if political power can be the central theme for artistic inspiration but , it can also be represented in a vague or even allusive way.

We will try to develop these themes and to To answer these questions through a subjective selection of works or literary and cinematographic trends that are suitable, in our opinion, for nurturing our contemplative, albeit non-exhaustive, look into these issues. Assessment methods

The participants of this elective course must submit Students  must write a 10-page paper , done independently, dealing with on a subject chosen by the student they will choose from a list of possible themes.
