Overall objective

Intensive revision programme to bring English level up to standard

Course content and organisation

Each week students follow two consecutive English classes of one and a half hours, taught by two different teachers working as a complementary team. Authentic supporting material (written, audio and video) is adapted and used in the classroom to develop students’ skills. However, in order to accelerate learning, students are required to work on grammar revision independently (a workbook is provided) and the beginning of each class is dedicated to a rapid check of personal work.

Within a chosen context, students revise and are expected to significantly improve their knowledge in vocabulary, grammar and the four skills (reading, writing, listening and speaking) They must have the necessary bases to prepare for a minimum B2 certification by S9.

Particular attention is paid to speaking skills. Participation in class is, therefore, fundamental to progress.

The Language Resource Centre is available to all students. Here, they can find materials and tools to help the progress independently.
